Sudan: The Pursuit of Peace

In one of the world's most troubled countries, Mercy Corps is sustaining Darfuris displaced by the conflict while strengthening the fragile peace between north and south in the places considered most critical to lasting tranquility.

Our work throughout Sudan is based on the belief that communities in transition present the greatest opportunities to bring about positive change.

Writer Dan Sadowsky and photographer Miguel Samper recently traveled to Sudan, where they met dozens of individuals who weathered years of violence and turmoil, and are now focused a better future.
